Meridian Federal Systems
A showcase website built for the way government buyers actually evaluate: contract vehicles, NAICS codes, past performance and capability statement — fast.
This is a Northbound showcase. Meridian Federal Systems is a fictional business created by Northbound Studio to study this problem. It is not a client and has never engaged the studio.

Showcase website — fully explorable inside Northbound Studio.
The problem
Contractor sites open with a flag photo and a mission paragraph, then bury the exact data a contracting officer or prime needs to qualify them in seconds.
Design approach
Evidence-first. A strict structural grid, restrained slate and blue palette, no marketing motion, and procurement facts placed above any narrative.
What we did
- A quick-facts panel with UEI, CAGE, NAICS codes and small business status up front.
- Contract vehicles listed as a scannable table rather than prose.
- Past performance written as mission, scope and outcome per engagement.
- Separate paths for primes seeking teaming partners and for candidates.
Conversion structure
Capability statement download and a teaming enquiry, both reachable from the first screen.
What the study demonstrates
- Qualification data available without a single scroll.
- Credibility built from specifics rather than imagery.
- Transfers to defense suppliers, engineering firms and compliance consultancies.
