The problem
Firm sites either look like 2009 or overcorrect into startup styling. Neither reads as serious to someone about to hand over a legal problem.
Design approach
Restraint-first. Narrow measure, classical serif headings, a strict two-column grid and almost no motion.
What we did
- A typographic hierarchy modelled on legal publishing rather than SaaS.
- Practice areas presented as substance, each with its own entry point.
- Attorney credentials and bar admissions given structural weight.
- A consultation form that states confidentiality before it asks anything.
Conversion structure
Confidential case review as the single action, repeated once per practice area.
What the study demonstrates
- Composure and specificity instead of stock reassurance.
- One unambiguous next step per practice area.
- Applies to accounting, advisory and wealth management.
