Atelier Auto Salon
A showcase website deliberately built as the opposite of the dark performance detailing look: a bright concierge salon for collectors and executive vehicles.
This is a Northbound showcase. Atelier Auto Salon is a fictional business created by Northbound Studio to study this problem. It is not a client and has never engaged the studio.

Showcase website — fully explorable inside Northbound Studio.
The problem
Every premium detailer uses the same dark, high-contrast styling, so nothing distinguishes a concierge collection service from a weekend ceramic shop.
Design approach
Gallery-first. Near-white surfaces, thin rules, small-caps labelling and a single vehicle per frame — the studio presented as a workshop, not a garage.
What we did
- A restrained editorial layout that lets the paint finish be the only high-contrast element.
- Services described as protection outcomes with a stated starting investment.
- Collection and delivery presented as the default, not an upsell.
- A short care-programme section that turns a one-off job into a retained client.
Conversion structure
Concierge collection request rather than a booking form, with services priced from a stated floor.
What the study demonstrates
- Demonstrates two credible directions inside one industry.
- Premium positioning achieved with light, not darkness.
- Transfers to watch servicing, boutique restoration and private aviation services.
